Strategic Supplier Manager (m/f/d)
Ihre Aufgaben
The vacant job is within the Supply Chain organization which has worldwide business responsibility contract manufacturer management. Strategic Supplier Managers are responsible for the supplier management in all organizational and commercial aspects of one or more key suppliers or material commodities. They manage assurance of supply provided by our external partners to support customer shipments. In addition, they support the NPI process and make sure to meet our time to market requirements. They work cross functional with R&D, Product engineering, Marketing, Finance, involving individual contributors as well as all levels of management.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages assurance of supply during whole product lifecycle
- Owns and drives material cost reductions and leads quoting activities
- Leads supplier negotiations and contracting
- Reviews and mitigates excess & obsolescence risk, manages inventories and liabilities
- Is responsible for supply chain rollovers from "old" to "new" products
- Leads supplier selection and performance evaluation according to company internal requirements catalogue
- Participates in Advantest global supply chain activities
- Has overall ownership for supplier relationship and escalation management
- Supply base risk management and business continuity planning
Ihr Profil
- Master / Bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial engineer or similar
- Strong Supply chain and supplier management skills, preferred in machined products and mechanical assemblies
- 5 years+ working experience in similar or related functions
- Negotiations skills, able to drive to win-win solutions
- Operational procurement experience
- Superior communication skills (cross-functional, supply chain, cross-cultural) across hierarchy levels, fluent English & German language skills (verbal & written)
- Strong self-management, sets proper priorities, able to coordinate and influence x-functional teams
- Proactive working style and ability to work on multiple tasks in cross functional teams
